HPTuners CORE Configuration

In order to use HPTuners CORE ECU with the NexLINK II hardware, please download the .XML file linked below and import it into your CAN Config in VCM Live.

In a nutshell the instructions are:

  • Open the CAN Config window (VCM Live > ECU > CAN Config).
  • Select the CAN 1 tab.
  • Set the Bitrate to 1000 kbit/s.
  • Check “Enable CAN Termination” if the dash is at the opposite end of the bus.
  • Click Import in the bottom right and select the XML file below.
  • Verify all seven CAN Messages appear in the list (IDs 45 through 51).
  • Click OK, then write the tune to the ECU.
  • Power cycle the ECU and the dash.

This only shows how to load the XML file. Please read your HPTuners CORE ECU documentation to ensure your CAN wiring and termination are correct.

Here are the data points that will be sent from the CORE ECU to the Pro Edition Digital Dash. More can be added, just get with us to make the updates to the XML file.
